PariPesa Anti-Money Laundering
Optim Development B.V., registered in Curaçao, strictly follows international standards to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing. We comply with regulations from organizations like FATF and EU directives, ensuring that all transactions through our platform are legal and transparent. Our AML policy applies to all company staff and partners to prohibit any involvement in illegal activities.
Stages of Money Laundering
Money laundering occurs in three stages:
- Placement. Introducing illegal funds into the financial system.
- Layering. Hiding the origin of the funds through complex transactions.
- Integration. Making the funds appear as legitimate assets.
PariPesa’s policy prevents all such activities, including the transfer or concealment of illegally obtained funds. Employees are required to report any suspicious activities that could suggest money laundering.
AML Policy Guidelines
All users must confirm their compliance with anti-money laundering laws. We require identity verification documents (such as a passport, ID, proof of address, or credit/debit card information) to protect against fraud and confirm that funds come from legitimate sources. The Company retains transaction records and identity information for at least five years. If suspicious activities are detected, we may report this to relevant authorities without notifying the user.
Employee Training and Reporting
We ensure all employees understand how to identify and report potential money laundering. Regular training sessions are conducted by the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), who manages the company’s compliance with AML laws. Employees must promptly report any unusual or suspicious transactions to the Compliance Officer. The Company takes strict action against any breaches of the AML policy, which can result in disciplinary action.
